As you know, every year, evil Canadians get together and (I know it’s hard to believe) bash in the skulls of baby seals. “Canada's commercial seal "hunt" is the largest mass slaughter of marine mammals in the world. So why are they going back to cruel vivisection that is unnecessary? Well, the obvious – China, the cruelest country on Earth. They “…have been quietly paying for poisoning tests on animals at the behest of the Chinese government in order to market their products in China.”

And, as you know, China loves to torture animals. So, they don’t care. But what’s to note here is that Avon, Mary Kay, and Estée Lauder never really cared about animal welfare when they stopped before. It’s all about the market and selling the most products. So, obviously then, they want the cruel Chinese to use their products as there are so many of them. So, they’ve decided to screw any concerns of their customers who do not want to torture animals and instead bow down to the cruelest around.

Horse Slaughter to Become Legal in the U.S. Again: Congress Restores Funding For

You’d think horses would be off limits in this country due to their long history and, of course, to the fact that most people do not eat them here! But, unfortunately, the ass jacks in Mexico and other parts of the world, including France, do.

We’ll have to see how this plays out, as this just came up. Lovely congress apparently is OK with killing and eating horses: “After a 5-year hiatus, Congress has restored funding for U.S. inspectors to oversee horse slaughter, opening the door for horses to be killed and butchered in the United States for the first time since 2006.”

By the way, it is the Wyoming state representative Sue Wallis and her pro-slaughter group "United Horsemen," that is pushing for horse slaughter.

Vietnam, like China, Supports Stealing, Torturing, and Eating Dogs: Common in Many Restaurants

What a disturbing story. Seems China isn’t the only sick country in the world that gets off on torturing and then eating dogs. Seems that many in Vietnam also love to steal, and then torture and eat dogs, many of which were sold to restaurants.

I’m not going to go on and on about this, as this is an obviously horrible situation. According to Nakhon Phanom Governor Rerngsak Mahawinijchaimontree, “Police believe all the dogs would have been transferred to a ship waiting in Ban Phaeng district of Nakhon Phanom before going across the Mekong River to be sold in Vietnam, where lots of dogs are ordered to be cooked as famous exotic dishes.”

It’s sad to think that there are those out there that have forgotten just how cruel, sadistic, twisted, and sick Michael Vick is. My thought is that this is because it had to do with crimes against dogs vs. against kids or people. Let’s all remember that he was convicted of felonies!

Does Buying "Humane" Meat, Dairy, Etc. Actually Decrease Cruelty? Insightful Article Provides the Answer You May Not Have Expected

This is truly an incredibly thoughtful piece that asks the key question: will buying "humane" meat, dairy, etc. actually help lessen cruelty and also provide side benefits to humans? I agree with the authors' ultimate answer below.

I do need to say that though, ultimately, (as he argues) “humane” alternatives increase the amount of animals that will be killed and consumed (hypocritically I guess), the methods done so do provide a quicker death. So, ultimately this solves one part of the problem (for an individual being killed) but may ACTUALLY lead to more death and suffering (more individuals being killed).

I hesitated to post on this as what I say may be misinterpreted by both sides. Yet, I decided to do so in order to make one point: at least this guy has decided to see just how meat ends up on a plate. No people, it doesn’t just wrap itself in plastic or paper all neat and pretty for you to just pick up and take home.

Most humans and billionaires could care less and really think that the world is for the humans only. I worked with an ego maniacal rich guy that always defaulted to the idiotic food chain argument. He was barely over 5 ft. tall and weighed about as much as an elementary school kid, and I always challenged him to go out into the woods, or plains, or wherever and see if he could take an animal’s life with only human hands (and weak teeth with very little canine teeth compared to true carnivores like cats and dogs.) Humans simply cannot do it and need technology to help them even get an animal. GEARI Seeks Help / Volunteers for Launch of New Website - animaltesting.tv Easy Project, Not Ongoing

As the name implies, animaltesting.tv will be a site that is focused on showing the reality of animal testing and vivisection via real photos and videos. The new .tv domain is in use by many groups as a web property that signifies the presence of AV resources and supplements their main sites or blogs. We’re simply looking to use our place in the AR world to bring attention to this issue.

If you look at the search logs of geari.org or geari.blogspot.com, you’ll see a very significant amount of searches for videos and photos showing the unfortunate reality of animal testing or vivisection. Many of these people are simply trying to gauge the nature of this unnecessary practice. A significant number are looking for proof and/or material for class projects, speeches, etc. Many brave souls have taken undercover footage from animal testing facilities in order to bring to light to the public the reality of this horror. We at GEARI hope to add one more resource that allows truth and education to speak for the reality many innocent victims face every day in countless facilities across the world.

I’m looking for one or two good volunteers to help get this up. Your job will be to pull embedded code from YouTube videos, Vivmeo, etc. and also from photo sharing sites such as Flickr and paste it into the blog. Very easy. I just need assistance on this initial part and you do not need to make an ongoing commitment.

YouTube Bans Animal Cruelty Video Showing Calves at E6 Cattle Company in Hart, Texas Bludgeoned with Pickaxes, but Shows Tons of Other Cruelty: Why?

The question, as touched on by WebProNews here and on the Mercy For Animals website which carried out the undercover investigation provides a horrifying look into E6 Cattle Co. in Hart, Texas asks why YouTube banned the video. Good question. As brought up, “…YouTube seems to have no qualms about videos glorifying hunting, dogfighting, or similar forms of animal cruelty…”

So I wonder why. Hummm. They’re fine covering up the cruelty to baby calves but love having videos glorifying thugs like Michael Vick torturing dogs?

For over two weeks in March of 2011, an MFA undercover investigator documented the operation's deplorable conditions and brutal mistreatment of animals.

MFA's hidden camera reveals:

Workers bludgeoning calves in their skulls with pickaxes and hammers -- often involving 5 to 6 blows, sometimes more -- before rendering the animals unconscious

Beaten calves, still alive and conscious, thrown onto dead piles

Workers kicking downed calves in the head, and standing on their necks and ribs

Calves confined to squalid hutches, thick with manure and urine buildup, and barely large enough for the calves to turn around or fully extend their legs

Gruesome injuries and afflictions, including open sores, swollen joints and severed hooves

Ill, injured and dying calves denied medical care

The budding horns of calves burned out their skulls without painkillers

Upon reviewing the undercover footage, Temple Grandin, PhD, animal welfare advisor to USDA, declared: "It is obvious that both the management and the employees have no regard for animal welfare."

Colorado State University Professor of Animal Sciences Dr. Bernard Rollin also condemned the operation: "I urge everyone in a position of authority to serve notice to the world that this sort of behavior has no place in a society wishing to consider itself civilized. These people must be corrected with the full force of the legal system."

To think that this is common practice is just sickening and sad. For dog lovers to see dogs packed into this disgusting, rickety truck brings to reality just what the majority of Chinese people do to dogs. Many of us in the US are used to seeing cattle trucks, but we’ve never seen a truck bringing dogs to be slaughtered for food. Just look at their faces and you’ll see the same ones we see daily in our homes.

It’s hearting to see the SOME people are changing in China. But, the majority remain cruel and abusive people steeped in superstition. We can only hope that more people begin to take on the ideals that these brave people did, especially in the land of animal abuse known as china.
