Absolutely amazing. This is from an email I received via another list. It is from someone in Austria to a respected US professor. It has been verified. I'll post more when I hear it. For now, celebrate! This is a true milestone!!!

Hi Marc,

I just want to let you know that today the Austrian Government has
made an addendum to the Austrian Law on Animal Protection insofar, as
from now on animal experiments on primate apes are forbidden and
regarded as a crime. The forwarded message is from the Austrian Press
Agency released a few hours ago. - just in german. (not attached).

It is at least a first step in a right direction while still many other
animals are suffering.
