Large Amount of Dogs to be Killed at Kaplan Pound in the Vermilion Parish in South Louisiana: Can You Help?

Saw this through a Facebook group I follow - "Supporting Animals in Kaplan Pound" located at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=132613693437577. I know that most shelters in the country need help. But, this appears to be a large amount of dogs that will be killed. If you live down there or know anyone who does, please consider adopting. Please read below to see what you can do.

These pets are at the Kaplan pound, Vermilion Parish, in South Louisiana. There may be other unlisted dogs available; ask.

All dogs in the pound should be considered URGENT - this is a high kill gassing shelter which usually adheres to its 4 day hold policy.

Only 501 (c)3 rescue groups can take dogs from the pound.
