Come on my readers, let's step up on this one.
I’m hoping they read this.
See, they’ll say they’re not allowing animal testing, yet they are allowing
their products to be sold in China, which means very likely (and they know
this), they will be tested on animals.
SO, THEY ARE OPENING THE DOOR TO ALLOWING ANIMAL TESTING ON THEIR
PRODUCTS. THEY’RE JUST LETTING SOMEONE
ELSE DO THEIR DIRTY WORK!
Their very childish press release which can be read at http://www.temptalia.com/urban-decay-press-statement-animal-testing-and-china
is so obviously focused on false logic and weird justification that they don’t
realize it screams false rationalization so that they can make money. They are in Newport Beach after all, and I’m
sure they need to stay on top of the top and only think of themselves.
Just look at this paragraph and tell me if it doesn’t scream
blindness in order for profit:
“For those of you unfamiliar with China’s policies, the
sticking point is this: the Chinese government reserves the right to conduct
animal testing with cosmetic products before the products are approved for use
by Chinese citizens. The government has not told us if they have exercised this
right with our products. So, our brand does not test on animals, but the
Chinese government might conduct a one-time test using our products.”
That last sentence says it all you idiots! You know that they likely will be tested on
animals.
Oh, and here’s the one that really got me and proves how far
they will go to rationalize their selfish decision.
“But, we believe that change cannot and will
not happen by outside pressure alone in a closed market. Change can only happen
from within. When we enter the Chinese market, we will do our part to help make
those changes.”
Ah ha ha ha ha ha! Yeah
right! You’re going to change the cruel
mindset of the cruelest people on earth.
Ah ha. And I’ll wake up rich tomorrow!
Just read this article on just how cruel the Chinese are and get back to me on how you’ll change their evil
mindset -
Do us a favor Urban Decay…just be honest! You want to make money in China. You don’t care about anything else, and now
you’ve joined the ranks of Tom’s of Maine who sold out to Clorox.
So readers, you know what to do.
1. Boycott Urban Decay.
And 2, let them know at http://www.urbandecay.com/corporate-office/office,default,pg.html
Oh, and 3! Realize
they are not the only game in town in terms of cosmetics. You can find a whole list of companies that do not test on animals here: http://geari.org/companies-dont-test-on-animals.html

MANY other cosmetics are available for us vegans! There's actually a ton of products in Dollar Stores, like L.A. Looks for make-up, White Rain for shampoo and shower gell, etc. Target now carries E.L.F Cosmetics....also very inexpensive. I use Say Yes to Cuccumbers shampoo and Say Yes to Carrots shower Gel, in CVS and Target. Except for one of their red lip pencles, Wet N Wild is also vegan. So we have lots of choices still
