What can I say? Seems everyday some new story of horrible cruelty comes out of China. You’ll see a mention of the “animal olympics” they had the other day. We wrote about that here - http://geari.blogspot.com/2006/10/

Their idiocy is obvious. However, this quote sums it up:
"Throwing live animals to caged tigers doesn’t recreate anything that happens in the wild, if that’s their aim," a RSPCA spokesman said.

A zoo in China is feeding live animals to tigers and lions in a bid to "resume their savage nature" and develop their ability to live in the wild.
Officials at Changchun Wildlife Park are using calves and goats to replicate kill-or-die conditions so the big cats can hone their hunting skills.
Similar practices have been reported for years, with officials arguing that big cats raised in captivity have to be taught to kill prey. The spectacle has enraged animal rights activists and sickened young visitors.
"Throwing live animals to caged tigers doesn’t recreate anything that happens in the wild, if that’s their aim," a RSPCA spokesman said.
The caged feeding frenzy comes just days after China was criticised for staging a boxing match between a clown and a kangaroo as part of the annual National Animal Olympics.
The boxing match was one of a number of events at the "games", which involved up to 300 animals.
